Trigger

Your life awaits.
Trigger, on himself:
I herald from a psychology background, and am notorious for my interest regarding pop psychology, male-female interactions, and mundane philosophy (the somewhat more practical type, relating to everyday life). I am in the process of levelling up my social and pick-up skills, physique and appearance, and career and lifestyle prospects. I am currently working on a piece of fiction regarding pick-up, which will one day become a serialised segment of PULL. I am relatively open to experience[1], a quality I strongly suggest to aspiring life-journeymen.
(6/2/10 additive) Trigger’s Obligatory Disclaimer:
Let me get this straight from the beginning: Up until now, I have zero sexual experience, I have never genuinely had a girlfriend before, and the closest I have come to having a girlfriend, was a perfectly-viable chance[2] that I stalled out due to cowardice and inexperience, resulting in the first girl I genuinely fell for hooking up with the “wussy guy” whom I thought didn’t stand a chance, who proceeded to treat her like shit. This heartbreak was around 3 years ago, which I have yet to rally from, and the oneitusG continues to chip away at my motivation and emotional stability when I’m not paying attention.
Furthermore, in terms of actual experience and skills, Kane is light-years ahead of me, and is technically more qualified to blog about pick-up than I am. Thus, if you came to this blog looking for time-tested advice on pick-up, dating, and relationships, you won’t find it with me.
However, my fears, inexperience, and emotional baggage; coupled with my moderate theoretical knowledge of pick-up, vague ethical understanding and adherence, hair-splitting introspective skills, and self-directed progress[3], makes me a quintessential everyman of pick-up, and affords my blogs some valuable perspective: I experience the same cop-outs and tangents as any budding PUA, and instead of shrugging and giving unreliable and unsustainable advice like “Toughen up” or “Always ignore her objections”, I will analyse the underlying logic and illogic of the many issues we face, and provide advice that follows a reasonable learning curve, and keeps your moral compass and social reputation intact.
At the end of the day, my biggest weakness is also my biggest strength: My posts and advice will reflect my growth as a PUA novice, and I hope they reflect your’s as well.
Trigger, regarding the duo:
I would most accurately describe the Trigger-&-Kane dynamic as that of the student-&-teacher.
Kane, the teacher/old master, is more learned and technical, and can speak extensively from hard knowledge and experience, and describe everything more logically than I will ever be able to.
I, the student/prodigal son, am prone to a vexing condition called the 「bad disciple phenomenon」: Namely, short attention span, and fear of jargon, wordiness, acontextual information, and the likes.
Through said unfortunate afflictions,
I understand the unnecessary agony that usually accompanies the otherwise enjoyable experience of learning, and know not to make the same mistakes of our educational forefathers.
Thus, I usually explain everything in layman form (the high-brow layman, mind you), and will frequently draw attention to quirks and insights (courtesy of my abstract mind making random connections between things) to aid with learning and retention – or just for my own jollies.
Kane, on Trigger:
Never before have I met such an intriguing man. There are moments when Trigger displays an artistic ability to examine the life we live and offer uncanny insight. At other times, I am astounded by his virginal naivete. There is great potential in this one, and although I have my reservations, perhaps some good will come of his boner for all things Atlas Shrugged.
